Refill and Save

Refill and Save!!

By refilling your empty cartridges you can
• Save Money
• Be environmentally aware
• Become an master at it
• Just replace the missing colour on a multicoloured cartridge.

It literally is not that difficult to refill your empty cartridges. It is prominent to prepare yourself to minimise problems. Two or three layers of kitchen towel make a good base for the job at hand.
You will need an ink that matches your printer. The easiest way to do this is by using a refill kit such as those made by Inktec which are ready from. These kits contain full instructions for your singular printer plus syringes to inject the ink into the cartridge with. The kit may also contain a holemaker and some plugs if required.

They say custom makes perfect and this is very true of refilling. The first time will probably be messy, take a bit longer and you will need to corollary instructions closely step by step. When you do your second and third refill it will become practically automatic and you will become more proficient at it. In return you will save lots of dollars over the course of a year as the ink for each cartridge will only cost nearby - and even economy when you buy bulk such as 250mls and 500mls bottles.

However one of the biggest bonuses is when your printer takes a singular coloured cartridge and when one colour runs out you can just refill that colour. The inlet holes to the other colours should be taped over to make sure the ink you are refilling does not leak into the other colours and make your cartridge unusable. After refilling your printer may say this is not a genuine cartridge and do you wish to continue, you should of course type in "yes". A few pages of test print should be done to get the ink flowing. A good idea is to all the time refill before the cartridge becomes empty, this will ensure ink is still flowing out to the printhead.
